The Manager of Community Engagement & Recruitment is responsible for building and sustaining a strong, diverse, and mission-aligned volunteer pipeline that meets the needs of youth served by BBBSTC. Through consideration of program needs and geographic considerations, the manager prioritizes alignment with the specific requests and preferences of youth participants seeking mentorship opportunities, while also supporting broader agency goals and priorities. This role is the primary driver of volunteer inquiry generation, relationship-based recruitment, and conversion—ensuring that qualified volunteers are recruited, supported, and matched in a timely and high-quality way. Working closely with the Director of Community Engagement & Recruitment, this role owns the day-to-day execution of volunteer recruitment strategies and is accountable for pipeline health, including volume, diversity, responsiveness, and experience, and supports design and execution of targeted youth recruitment strategies. Success in this role requires leading the day-to-day operations of community engagement and recruitment by managing resources, aligning cross-team efforts, and translating strategy into effective systems and practices that strengthen the volunteer pipeline and experience. This position leverages Salesforce to ensure efficient communication, tracking, and follow-up with prospective volunteers and community partners. The role is externally facing—building and stewarding relationships in the community—and internally collaborative, working closely with Programs, Marketing & Communications, Data & Impact, and Development to ensure recruitment efforts are aligned, coordinated, and responsive to youth needs.
