About The Position

Albertsons Companies is a leading food and drug retailer in the United States, operating over 2,200 stores across 34 states and the District of Columbia under various well-known banners. The company supports its stores with 22 distribution centers and 19 manufacturing plants. The Manager, Centralized Pharmacy Services is responsible for the day-to-day supervision, direction, coaching, and motivation of the pharmacy team in the Central Fulfillment site, ensuring operational efficiency and productivity. This role reports to the General Manager and involves close collaboration with IT Specialists, third-party vendors, human resources, company administration, and Production Maintenance Technicians to resolve escalated technical and workflow issues. The Manager must continuously evaluate and develop process improvements, quality control, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure the Central Fulfillment site meets production targets and KPIs. The position is based in Ridgefield, WA, and is a salaried management role with a shift arrangement aligned to production shifts. This is an onsite position.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of Central Fulfillment, retail, mail order, or closed-door Pharmacy experience.
  • Licensed Pharmacist in the CF home state.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for cross-training and in-person meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and supervision for all activities of the functional teams.
  • Fully understand the roles of each functional team and how they should work together.
  • Hire, train, motivate, develop, evaluate, and manage functional leaders and team members.
  • Work well within a team environment with the General Manager, PIC, and other leaders at the site.
  • Comply with all company and site policies and procedures.
  • Understand and comply with Best Practice Standards and execution by pharmacy staff when the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) is absent.
  • Assist with maintaining the pharmacy system and technologies that facilitate proper counting, conveyance, packaging, and shipping of prescriptions as needed.
  • Serve in a leadership role for oversight and other visits.
  • Lead the safety program to ensure a Safety-First working environment and culture.
  • Work closely with PIC and general manager to facilitate development, evaluation, and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for all operational functions.
  • Ensure site compliance for all federal, state, local regulations.
  • Become a subject matter expert for production line software/hardware, as well as each functional role.
  • Responsible for appropriate triaging of issues and escalations.
  • Monitor and maintain uptime of automated counting, collating, packaging, and sorting devices, ensuring continuous operation through basic troubleshooting of routine errors as needed.
  • Assist with maintaining the pharmacy system and technologies that facilitate proper counting, conveyance, packaging, and shipping of prescriptions as needed.
  • Continuously develop process improvements for personnel management, production line efficiency, and overall workflow.
  • Perform all activities related to the preparation, verification, dispensing and sale of prescription and pharmacy related products as needed.
  • Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
