Manager of Benefits & Payroll $78,949 - $101,055 Job Level: Manager Shelter maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Please remember that this range is the starting base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. What You Will Be Doing: Responsible for overseeing corporate benefit plan and payroll administration, meeting employee and corporate needs while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements. Responsible for ongoing team development, overseeing processes, and technical enhancements. Supports the Director of People Resources in analyzing and implementing new plan designs and changes. Requirements

  • Strong mathematical, financial, communication, problem-solving, analysis, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with benefit plan and payroll administration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Human Resources, or Communication.
  • Experience conducting analytical analysis and developing and maintaining policies, guidelines, and annual processes.
  • Demonstrated supervisory, management and leadership skills required.
  • Works under general supervision, exercising judgement regarding benefit and payroll laws, regulations and processes.
  • Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills required to present complex topics to a diverse group of agents, employees and retirees.
  • Individuals with capability of continually handling extremely confidential information appropriately and capable of relating to individuals at all levels in the organization.
  • Demonstrates interpersonal skills as well as the ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Must be well versed in the use of HRIS technology.
  • Ability to analyze and understand HRIS system functionality, monitor and recommend enhancements and new features.
  • Ability to perform essential functions of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
