Position: Manager of Agency OperationsLocation: Bismarck, North DakotaThe ideal candidate will be a process-oriented leader with a comprehensive understanding of commercial lines, personal lines, health, and crop insurance operations. This role is a vital liaison, ensuring seamless collaboration between our service team and our sales producers to drive operational excellence and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience with progressive operations or service leadership in an independent or bank-owned insurance agency as well as experience with agency management systems, typically acquired through a minimum of five years of similar or related experience.
  • Active Property & Casualty and Life & Health licenses, or ability to become licensed in 90-180 days
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial and personal lines, health insurance and crop insurance products and processes.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate team members while driving a culture of operational excellence

Responsibilities

  • Team leadership and service management Lead, mentor and motivate employees
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators
  • Oversee hiring, training and professional development
  • serve as a point of escalationOperation excellence and process improvement Develop, document and administer agency policies and procedures
  • continually refine service and administrative workflows
  • design and administer performance-based incentive and commission-based compensation plans
  • oversee the agency management system
  • drive continuous improvement initiativesCompliance & Licensing Ensure strict compliance with federal, state and company regulations
  • conduct regular internal audits
  • administer all insurance agency and producer licensing and registration
  • stay current on regulatory changesCarrier & Sales Support Manage and cultivate relationships with key carriers and brokerages
  • serve as a liaison between the service team and sales producers
  • ensure service capacity is aligned with sales growth
  • collaborate with sales leadership
