The Manager, Mobilization and Engagement plays a critical role in advancing the League of Women Voters’ mission to empower voters and defend democracy by helping the organization live up to its equity commitments. While the League’s volunteer leadership has been shaped by dominant cultural norms common in civic spaces, our work is unapologetically focused on reaching communities that have been historically excluded from political power. This role ensures that organizing strategies center on diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), racial justice, and accessibility, while strengthening the League’s regional organizing model and translating national strategy into action that builds durable, inclusive civic power. Reporting to the Senior Director of Mobilization and Engagement, the Manager leads a team of five Regional Organizers (ROs) covering the Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, Mountain, and Western regions. The Manager provides strong leadership, project coordination, and team accountability to ensure organizers effectively execute state League-level organizing plans aligned with League of Women Voters of the United States organizational priorities, timelines, and goals. This role also supports capacity-building among state and local League leaders through movement-building tactics, education-based training, and integrated mobilization strategies, including online-to-offline and relational organizing. This position is central to advancing the League’s transformation toward an equitable, inclusive, and participatory democracy.
