The Manager of Merchandise Operations is responsible for leading and optimizing our merchandise processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy of data throughout the product development and supply chain. This role involves managing the product item creation calendar, overseeing key tasks in Product Line Management (PLM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Merchandising, Art, Licensing, Brand Management, Customer Service, and Inventory. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proven ability to drive operational excellence while balancing priorities to meet critical timelines. How you will make an impact: Oversee and drive the operational process in PLM and Order Management System from product creation through commercialization to support organizational goals, processes, and calendar adherence. Leverage data to make critical decisions that drive tactical results and constantly improve processes for better efficiency and accuracy in managing product data. Proactively identify and solve complex product data issues to prevent delays in product launches, supply chain problems, and financial setbacks. Hold full accountability of data integrity and governance across all brands, leagues and categories Utilize advanced analytics to identify gaps in data and process, ensuring go-to-market readiness Lead, manage and mentor a team of Specialists and Coordinators, helping them develop their skills in both business and analysis. Participate and lead user acceptance testing (UAT) by providing detailed feedback on system enhancements and long-term opportunities. Lead and conduct audits, which may include available inventory, transaction history, SKU counts, monthly data audits. Make key decisions on SKU architecture and item structure, influencing organizational processes and data workflows across departments Develop and build strong, cross-functional partnerships with Product Creation and Merchandising, Planning, Development, Sourcing, Supply Chain Operations and Technology. Represent the department in cross-functional projects and initiatives acting as the product data subject matter expert, driving decisions that align with broader business goals. Partner with Finance to create company controls and recommend policy changes to ensure SOX compliance regarding timely and accurate pricing data for product launches. Regularly audit and analyze through product pricing data, making recommendations to cross-functional partners to create better pricing tools and improve overall compliance.
