About The Position

Directs and manages organizational and administrative functions related to the Medical Staff Services Department, including staffing, confidential practitioner database administration, survey preparation/coordination, credentialing, privileging, focused and ongoing professional practice evaluation, committees, GME and CME. Responsible for working with Medical Staff Leadership in planning, developing, and maintaining the support structure necessary for the Medical Staff to carry out its duties and responsibilities pursuant to the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, regulatory requirements, and Hospital policy. Comprehensive expertise and knowledge in Medical Staff related issues. Manages and oversees Medical Staff, collection of dues, financial reports, and payment of stipends for Medical Staff Officers, Department & Committee Chairs. Functions as the liaison for the Medical Staff and legal counsel. In addition to performing the essential functions listed below may also be assigned other duties as required.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of a valid certificate as a Certified Professional Medical Staff Management (CPMSM) or Credentials Specialist (CPCS) as issued by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) is strongly preferred.
