Medical Assistant or EMT or LPN - Cardiology Full Time Days Heart and Vascular Center Role snapshot Department: Cardiology (care team model supporting our APPs) Schedule: 7:30am–4:00pm (some day-to-day variability) Primary site: ProHealth Heart & Vascular Waukesha Secondary site: Mukwonago clinic 1 day/week (clinic support) What you’ll do Support APP-led cardiology care teams with rooming, vitals, EKGs/testing support (as applicable), and smooth patient flow Manage in-baskets and patient messages that do not require RN triage or provider-level clinical decision making Coordinate care needs, prep patients, support follow-up planning, and deliver a great patient experience from check-in through wrap-up Document clearly and accurately in Epic and keep the day moving on schedule What we’re looking for MA/EMT/LPN background Strong communication, organization, and comfort in a specialty practice Calm, service-minded team player with attention to detail Learn more about the care we provide Heart and vascular care: https://www.prohealthcare.org/medical-services/heart-vascular What You Will Do: Provides direct care to patients under the supervision and delegation of the Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant or Physician within ProHealth Medical Group. Provides care in partnership with the patient and their family, with the goal of supporting an optimal healing community. Support ProHealth Care's Mission, Vision, and Values while adhering to the ProHealth Experience customer service goals. Efficiently prepare exam rooms by setting up proper equipment and supplies, following standard rooming workflows to prepare patients for provider exams, obtaining vital signs, health history verification, and ensuring accurate documentation in the EMR Clean exam rooms after each patient visit and maintain sufficient stock of supplies. Answer patient calls, obtain medical information, report test results, administer medications and vaccinations, prepare sterile fields, and assist with procedures as directed by providers. Perform therapeutic treatments, health screenings, specimen collection, Point of Care testing, and assist with splints or wound care under supervision. Respond to urgent situations, call for clinical assistance as needed, and assist in maintaining clinic medications, vaccinations, supplies, and equipment. Float to other departments or clinic locations as assigned by PHMG Leadership.
