Manager, MDS
About The Position
The MDS Manager is responsible for conducting and coordinating the development and completion of the resident assessment (MDS) in accordance with current Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines and regulations. This position monitors the assignment of patients to Resource Utilization Groups (RUGs), the utilization of resources used in treatment and the assignment of RUGs payment periods associated with the Minimum Data Set (MDS) schedules. The MDS Manager determines coding to ensure maximum ROI, and submits information to CMS. This position requires excellent communication with interdisciplinary team members, residents, and family members.
Requirements

- Current RN license.
- 2 years of nursing experience. 2 years of MDS experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Proficient in AOD(Answers on Demand) used for MDS input and CareWatch used for QI/QM and submissions.
