About The Position

Atlantic Health is searching for an organized and detail-oriented for the Part Time position of Manager of Materials Management at Overlook Medical Center. The Materials Manager is responsible for overseeing inventory management, receiving operations, and PAR replenishment activities across a large hospital or multi-hospital system. This role ensures the continuous availability of medical and non-medical supplies in support of patient care while maintaining cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. The Materials Manager leads frontline staff, collaborates with clinical and supply chain partners, and leverages Oracle ERP to drive data accuracy, process standardization, and operational performance. Key Responsibilities Work Environment Hospital-based role with frequent interaction across clinical and non-clinical departments Position will cover both Overlook and Chilton Material Management Operations Flexibility in schedule may be required to support operational needs Inventory Management Manage hospital-wide inventory control programs using Oracle ERP , including PAR level management, min/max settings, cycle counts, and replenishment logic Monitor inventory accuracy, inventory turns, expirations, and usage trends through Oracle reporting and dashboards Ensure accurate item master data, unit of measure alignment, and location assignments within Oracle Partner with Procurement and Contracting to support contract compliance, standardization, and formulary management Receiving & Distribution Operations Oversee centralized receiving operations, including purchase order receiving, discrepancy resolution, and put-away processes within Oracle ERP Ensure timely and accurate receipt of goods, proper documentation, and system transaction integrity Maintain compliance with hospital safety, infection control, and Joint Commission standards Coordinate internal distribution to ensure supplies reach clinical areas efficiently PAR Replenishment & Clinical Support Manage PAR replenishment systems across nursing units, procedural areas, and ancillary departments utilizing Oracle-based replenishment workflows Collaborate with Nursing and Clinical leadership to align PAR levels with patient acuity and service line demand Lead PAR optimization initiatives to reduce stockouts, excess inventory, and expired products Leadership & Staff Management Lead, coach, and develop materials management staff, including supervisors and frontline team members Provide scheduling, training, performance management, and operational oversight Foster a culture of accountability, customer service, and continuous improvement Compliance & Process Improvement Ensure materials operations comply with Joint Commission, infection prevention, and hospital safety standards Support internal and external audits related to inventory accuracy, receiving controls, and system processes Identify and implement process improvements leveraging Oracle system functionality and best practices Systems, Reporting & Data Integrity Serve as the operational subject matter expert for Oracle ERP materials management modules Utilize Oracle reports, dashboards, and analytics to monitor KPIs and operational performance Partner with IT and Supply Chain leadership on system upgrades, enhancements, testing, and training Ensure data governance standards are followed for item master, suppliers, and inventory locations Qualifications Qualifications Required High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred 5+ years of progressive experience in healthcare materials management or supply chain operations Hands-on experience using Oracle ERP for inventory management, receiving, and PAR replenishment Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory, safety, and infection control requirements Experience in a large, multi-hospital or integrated delivery network (IDN) Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) Experience with Oracle Cloud SCM , Inventory Management, or Supply Chain modules Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement certification Professional certification such as CPIM, CSCP, or similar Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to translate operational needs into system-driven solutions Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and controls Customer-focused mindset supporting patient care delivery
