Requirements

  • 5+ years corporate event experience, working directly for a SaaS-based B2B technology company.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in planning a varied event portfolio including user conference, executive events, strategic sponsorships, tradeshows, thought leadership platforms, and other type of events is a plus.
  • Proven use of technology tools for effective project management
  • Ability to identify and scale cost savings options
  • Experience with event technology systems including RainFocus, EventBase, JiffleNow and like systems
  • Skilled collaborator capable of partnering with internal teams and external vendors
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills - both written and verbal - comfortable championing projects internally
  • Excellent negotiating and contracting skills
  • Self-motivated and resourceful, ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Travel required as needed for site inspections, planning meetings, and event execution (25% travel)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the workstreams responsible for ancillary, attendee networking and meetings management for Workday’s user conferences.
  • Act as the Experience Marketing lead to the internal collaborators to ensure programming aligns to strategic business objectives and efficient attendee journey.
  • Define the efficient attendee experience with program leaders as it relates to various event invitation process, audience engagement tools, event surveys and other touchpoints.
  • Partner with data strategy team to align on end-to-end reporting requirements prior to build, and develop critical metrics/goals to accurately measure success.
  • Collaborate on audience acquisition strategy with the event strategy team.
  • Proactively bring new insights and improved processes for consideration.
  • Highly-competent budget development (upwards of over $1M) and continually identify, propose, and implement cost-savings opportunities.
  • Own survey management and continuously improve survey build to collect strategic data.
  • Contribute to post-event debriefs and presentations summarizing event performance to communicate key takeaways and future improvements.
  • Establish and lead effective processes, meetings and timelines and regularly communicate any interdependencies.
  • Lead vendor relationships required to support programs.
