DESCRIPTION: Lead a results-oriented manufacturing team while advancing operational excellence and continuous improvement at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As Manufacturing Manager, you'll oversee daily operations, ensure safety and quality standards, develop talent, and implement process improvements to achieve business objectives. This role combines strategic leadership with operational management to support our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. You will manage all aspects of manufacturing operations including personnel supervision, quality control, safety protocols, scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management. Key focus areas include optimizing production efficiency, maintaining GMP compliance, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering a culture of safety and engagement. Success requires strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a dedication to developing team capabilities while meeting production targets.

Requirements

  • Advanced Degree plus 6 years of manufacturing operations management experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of manufacturing operations management experience, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotechnology or regulated industry
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing manufacturing teams of 10+ direct reports
  • Strong knowledge of GMP regulations, quality systems, and safety protocols
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, PPI)
  • Demonstrated success improving operational efficiency and productivity
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data-driven decision making
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency with manufacturing systems, ERP software, and MS Office suite
  • Experience with change management and leading teams through organizational transitions
  • Knowledge of equipment validation, calibration, and maintenance processes
  • Ability to work flexible schedules
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and quality audits
