Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing, a division of Stanely Black & Decker, is seeking a Manufacturing Manger to lead production requirements by working in coordination with the materials, operations, scheduling, quality and engineering team and will provide tactical and technical expertise in conjunction with the above mentioned teams with solving complex issues to ensure effective and efficient production flow. The Job: As a Manager Manufacturing Operations , you’ll be part of our Industrial team working as an on-site employee . You’ll get to:

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in the Aerospace industry in Machining, Quality, Assembly, and process development
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel spreadsheets
  • Familiarity in manufacturing and quality system procedures
  • Understanding and using lean principles, tools and concepts that will drive Columbia to a Center of Excellence

Responsibilities

  • Assist in scheduling/execution of meeting daily priorities by working closely with the materials and operations team.
  • Assist in resolution of production issues as faced in a low volume / high mix manufacturing environment with new part development as a core competency.
  • Assist in ensuring timely updates to required record keeping, including time sheets
  • Coordinates all logistics activities with the Manchester facility to ensure flawless execution between the two sites.
  • In conjunction with the Site Manager, sets expectations, provides recourses, audits performance, recommends training using personal skill sets, or internal, and external resources. In conjunction with the Site manager, sets policies and practices to exceed department goals.
  • Ensures operations metrics are well known; tracks daily progress towards achieving objectives and mitigating risks.
  • Works with managers across all functional lines to accomplish organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrates continual focus on improvements and enhancements.
  • Exhibits and promotes behaviors on the plant floor that leads to an engaged workforce.
  • Other tasks as assigned by management.
