About The Position

Manager Manufacturing Engineering-Onsite- Defense Solutions We have a great opportunity for a Manager, Manufacturing Engineering to join our growing team in Santa Clarita, CA As our Manager Manufacturing Engineering you will lead our manufacturing engineering team in the development, implementation, and sustainment of manufacturing processes used in the assembly and test of electronic integrated systems for the aerospace and defense market. You will have a strong technical background in manufacturing engineering, excellent leadership skills, and experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Location: Santa Clarita, CA Salary Range: $ 144,100.00 - $192,100.00 per year plus bonus Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in California. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Experience working in a defense and aerospace electronics manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including PCB assembly, cable harnessing, and system integration
  • Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies, such as automation, robotics, and data analytics
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to motivate and inspire teams
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong business acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of manufacturing engineers to design, develop, and implement efficient and effective manufacturing processes for defense and aerospace electronics integrated systems
  • Manage a defined engineering function by setting objectives, planning work, allocating resources, and ensuring departmental performance aligns with operational and strategic goals
  • Lead, develop, and evaluate engineering staff through hiring, training, motivation, performance management, and succession planning to ensure a capable and engaged team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, procurement, and operations, to ensure seamless transition from design to production
  • Develop and implement manufacturing plans, processes, and procedures to meet production requirements and quality standards
  • Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality
  • Lead the implementation of Industry 4.0 initiatives, such as automation, robotics, and data analytics, to improve manufacturing performance
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies
  • Develop and manage capital budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation plans
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean Six Sigma, to drive cultural change and improve business performance
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and employee engagement
