About The Position

2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor - Onsite Position We have a great opportunity for a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor to join our team in Santa Clarita, CA As our 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor, you have responsibility for the Manufacturing Operations Production Group to ensure that daily/weekly targets are met and that the team has the right tools, processes, training, and resources to effectively assemble and test a variety of Curtiss-Wright’s products. Location: Santa Clarita, CA Salary Range : $ 74,100.00 - $98,900.00 per year Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in California. Requirements

  • Preference given to individuals with 3-5 years working Leadership experience with a minimum of 3 years hands on work experience performing day to day production requirements
  • A focused individual with demonstrated ability and experience within a low volume high mix assembly environment
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and respond quickly to changes
  • SAP knowledge is a definite asset
  • Strong interpersonal /communication and teambuilding skills are required

Responsibilities

  • Responsible and accountable to monitor and co-ordinate the day-to-day related activities to maximize resources and product deliveries on time and within budget
  • Complete all logs, reports and other data as defined by the Production Manager
  • Actively pursue and enhance good working relationships with other teams
  • As a means of keeping communication lines open between the two shifts, practice face-to-face shift exchanges on a daily basis
  • Attend daily production meetings
  • Conduct monthly one-on-ones with your team members
  • Work with the production leadership to assess performance.
  • Plan and monitor individual performance of team members.
  • Hold bi-monthly quality meetings with your team
  • Participate in the corporate Curtiss-Wright Way Lean training program
  • Using Lean thinking, work with Manufacturing Engineering and other area supervisors to bring best-in-class activities, to improve process performance, reduction of costs, improve efficiencies and increase quality to completion
  • Help provide on the job training and mentoring for your team
  • Ensures all Safety and operating procedures are followed
  • Participate in and conduct Continuous Improvement Team meetings that help drive the area and business forward
