JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Manager, Maintenance FLSA STATUS: Exempt REPORTS TO: General Manager / Manufacturing Manager SUMMARY This is responsible supervisory and technical work requiring knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Schedules and develops preventative maintenance procedures; troubleshoots and diagnoses machine and building equipment problems; directs and supervises machine and building repairs, assisting as necessary; schedules work for subordinates; identifies and schedules building maintenance work; orders and maintains inventory for building maintenance and machine repairs; and trains, evaluates, and disciplines subordinates as required.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a state certified apprenticeship program or a minimum of 4 years of maintenance experience; 2 years experience in a leadership role.
  • Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices.
  • A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional score of 26 on the cognitive portion).
  • Agreement to complete all post-hire required training.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies, schedules, and directs preventative maintenance measures for machinery, equipment, and building facilities.
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic machine and equipment problems.
  • Directs and supervises repairs to company machinery, equipment, and facilities, assisting as necessary
  • Directs and performs skilled building and facilities repairs and modifications, including ventilation, heating, plumbing, painting, electrical, and electronic work, roof repair, etc.
  • Schedules and prioritizes work to be performed
  • Monitors, evaluates, trains, and corrects subordinate performance as required.
  • Diagnoses and performs skilled repair work on machinery and equipment
  • Checks, orders and maintains inventory of spare parts, material and supplies.
  • Performs security checks of building and facilities during shutdown periods.
