About The Position

Oversee and direct the electrical, engineering and maintenance functions to ensure equipment reliability, efficient production processes, and alignment with company objectives. Provide leadership, technical expertise, and strategic planning to improve productivity, quality, and operational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing plant as an industrial or mechanical engineer, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
  • 3 years’ experience in management.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to convey complex information to a broad audience.
  • Must work in a professional and courteous manner with coworkers
  • Open to work in a diverse work environment
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 35 lbs. on a frequent basis
  • Ability to stand for 90% of the workday; walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in the following preferred: Autodesk Inventor, Inventor HSM, AutoCAD Electrical, Allen Bradley PLC 500 & 5000, Proface HMI, and Fanuc robot training.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and production equipment.
  • Review engineering specifications, process flows, and related information to ensure equipment and processes meet manufacturing and quality requirements.
  • Identify and implement efficient methods to maximize throughput, minimize downtime, and maintain quality standards.
  • Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs; drive improvement in PM completion rate.
  • Analyze equipment performance and lead corrective and preventive actions to reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and reliability engineering initiatives to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Collaborate with management, production, and engineering teams to define project requirements, support productivity improvements, and ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Review and approve equipment design changes, ensuring effectiveness and compliance with requirements.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor annual departmental budgets, and lead vendor/contractor negotiations.
  • Establish and enforce policies, standards, and procedures for maintenance and technical activities.
  • Recruit, assign, and evaluate staff; regularly assess team skills, develop training plans, and implement educational programs to strengthen technical competence and leadership.
  • Prepare and present proposals, reports, and performance analyses to management and customers.
  • Set strategic direction for the Maintenance Department to support long-term operational reliability and company objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
