The Facilities Maintenance Manager – Southeast is responsible for overseeing all maintenance, repair, and facilities operations for a portfolio of convenience store locations across the Southeast region. This role ensures stores are safe, functional, compliant, and well‑maintained, while minimizing downtime and controlling costs. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with strong vendor management experience, a sense of urgency, and a customer‑focused mindset who understands the fast-paced nature of retail and fuel environments. Key Responsibilities Facilities & Maintenance Operations Oversee preventive and reactive maintenance for C‑store locations, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, fuel systems, and general building maintenance Ensure rapid response to emergency repairs to minimize operational disruptions Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules to reduce equipment failure and extend asset life Vendor & Contractor Management Manage relationships with third‑party vendors and service providers Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure service level agreements are met Approve invoices and monitor costs to stay within budget Regional Oversight Support multiple store locations across the Southeast region Conduct regular site visits to assess facility conditions and compliance Partner with Operations, Construction, and Safety teams to support store needs Compliance & Safety Ensure all facilities meet local, state, and federal codes and safety requirements Support health, safety, and environmental initiatives Maintain documentation related to inspections, permits, and compliance Budgeting & Reporting Manage regional maintenance budgets and forecast expenses Track maintenance trends and identify opportunities for cost savings Provide regular reporting on facilities condition, spend, and performance metrics Qualifications Required 5+ years of facilities maintenance experience, preferably in convenience store, retail, fuel, or multi‑unit environments Proven experience managing vendors and service contracts Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing) Ability to travel regularly throughout the Southeast region Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills Proficiency with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and reporting tools Preferred Experience supporting fuel and petroleum facilities Supervisory or people‑management experience Familiarity with retail operational environments OSHA or facilities‑related certifications Physical & Travel Requirements Ability to travel extensively within the Southeast region Ability to visit active construction and store locations Occasional after‑hours or weekend availability for emergencies Why Join Us High‑impact role supporting front‑line retail operations Opportunity to lead and improve facilities across a growing region Collaborative environment with Operations, Construction, and Safety partners Competitive compensation and benefits This role is critical to keeping our stores safe, open, and operating day‑to‑day—ideal for a facilities leader who thrives in a fast‑moving retail environment. Requirements

  • 5+ years of facilities maintenance experience, preferably in convenience store, retail, fuel, or multi‑unit environments
  • Proven experience managing vendors and service contracts
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing)
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the Southeast region
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Proficiency with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and reporting tools

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting fuel and petroleum facilities
  • Supervisory or people‑management experience
  • Familiarity with retail operational environments
  • OSHA or facilities‑related certifications

Responsibilities
