Purpose StatementThe Maintenance Manager manages all plant units responsible for maintaining the plant's equipment, buildings and facilities and provides technical expertise regarding maintenance, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic engineering. In addition to developing and implementing short-term and mid-term business plans for department, and assists in the development of the strategic plan for the plant.Key Accountabilities and Outcomes Plan, manage, and direct the activities of maintenance, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical teams, providing ongoing engineering and technical support to ensure reliable plant operations. Develop, implement, and communicate short term and mid term (1-2 year) operating plans, ensuring alignment with plant, division, and corporate business strategies and clearly defining associate roles in achieving objectives. Support the development of long term strategic plans for the plant, including capital investments, asset reliability, and operational sustainability. Establish, implement, and maintain operating policies, procedures, and standards to support safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing operations. Lead, mentor, and motivate associates by providing training, coaching, and development opportunities to enhance performance, engagement, and career growth. Communicate performance expectations, recognize and reward individual and team accomplishments, and address performance issues through consistent feedback and corrective action; ensure associates are equipped with necessary tools and resources. May serve as a member of the Plant Steering Team, contributing to cross functional decision making and continuous improvement initiatives. Direct the analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of mechanical and operational issues, ensuring timely corrective actions and prevention of recurring equipment failures. Oversee the planning and scheduling of preventive maintenance and inspections, minimizing unplanned downtime and avoiding disruption to production schedules. Develop, track, and report operational metrics, maintenance performance data, and required management reports. Analyze and document root causes of production delays in daily production reporting. Ensure plant facilities, equipment, and grounds are maintained in compliance with regulatory requirements, company standards, and fiscal objectives. Prepare and evaluate major equipment bids, review proposals, and approve capital and operational equipment purchases as appropriate. Represent the company in interactions with outside contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants, ensuring cost effectiveness and technical compliance. May be responsible for plant safety programs, including coordination of fire safety inspections, internal audits, and implementation of corrective actions to address identified hazards. In smaller facilities, may oversee the machine parts storeroom, including inventory control and availability of critical spare parts. Stay current on emerging manufacturing technologies, maintenance systems, and engineering best practices. Perform additional related duties as needed to support Rich Products Corporation's business objectives.
