About The Position

The Maintenance Manager reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and safety of the Maintenance Department. This role oversees the day-to-day operations of Maintenance and Reliability operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, engineering or technical field preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant leadership experience in process intensive industrial environments.
  • Experience in implementing and operating computerized systems (CMMS, ERP, control systems)
  • Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and developing high performance teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations of the Maintenance Department to support the up time of plant equipment.
  • Standardize daily operations to facilitate repeatable and scalable operations. Develop the standard work and associated SOPs within the operating departments.
  • Hire and develop the best. Develop skills matrix that supports performance management.
  • Build out the CMMS to manage the Preventative Maintenance Program, WO process flow, spare parts management, and document management.
  • Develop and lead the Root Cause Analysis program with the Maintenance Department: criteria to launch a root cause analysis, available tools (Fishbone, 5Y’s, brainstorming, etc.), the tracking and follow through of assigned Corrective Actions and timelines.
  • Develop the Maintenance Strategy for the plant equipment.
  • Conduct Asset Lifecycle Analysis for plant equipment.
  • Develop the lubrication strategy across the plant.
  • Develop the Preventative Maintenance Program and cadence.
  • Manage the overhaul cycle, to include 3rd party vendor coordination, cost estimate, an annual schedule, optimizing plant/department shut downs and planned downtime.
  • Develop the overhaul job plan template and coordinate all planning meetings with affected personnel.
  • Develop department KPI’s with a focus on Equipment Availability, Planned Maintenance Percent.
  • Establish a safety-first culture within plant operations.
  • Ensure all EHSR compliance requirements are built into the CMMS scheduler.
  • Ensure the training and compliance for all lifesaving EHSR policies (LOTO, confined work, hot work, working from heights, hoisting operations) is executed.
  • Manage and develop the Maintenance Department Budget, focusing on spare parts and 3rd party vendor support for overhaul work.
  • Participate and support the monthly P/L review, make forecast adjustments as needed.
