About The Position

The Manager, Maintenance will provide direction and support to a team of technicians in a multi-facility/multi-shift production environment. They will be responsible for managing the maintenance and repair services for all complex electrical and mechanical Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and systems. Additionally, they will Lead and Develop their team according to Skechers standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 5-7 years of applicable experience with progressive responsibility.
  • Must have knowledge of all applicable safety rules and regulations, with the understanding of extended safety required in the Maintenance, electrical, technical trades required to perform repairs on the above-mentioned.
  • Good understanding of the technical features of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of production automation and equipment.
  • Extensive knowledge of all company policies and procedures with an emphasis on safety

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic business processes and projects to optimize DC efficiency.
  • Lead, mentor and develop Supervisors to fulfill their required responsibilities and support the reporting team accordingly.
  • Drive performance manager process for Supervisors including goal setting, reviews, disciplinary actions, hiring decisions and overall personnel management.
  • Develop and implement standard procedures to monitor equipment performance, safety, and effectiveness.
  • Coordinates preventative maintenance work based on equipment hours, MTTF reporting and equipment availability.
  • Plans and schedules maintenance technicians, materials, and activities to complete work orders with minimal downtime.
  • Prepares daily and weekly reports on equipment performance, expense management and personnel utilization
  • Collaborates with operations personnel daily on production schedules, flow and any equipment concerns.
  • Manage all hotline service calls in a timely manner and see to it proper personnel have been contacted.
  • Works proactively and collaboratively with other supporting functions to include, Engineering, IT, Operations and HR.
  • Monitor the proper use of CMMS by MHE supervisors and technicians alike.
  • Drive safety initiatives for compliance adherence and escalate incidents accordingly.
