About The Position

This position is responsible for developing and managing the overall maintenance functions for the facility. Primary Duties Include: Coordinating maintenance activities with production scheduling Protecting and ensuring proper manpower requirements for the maintenance department Ensuring effective understanding and use of the Tyson CMMS System Training and developing maintenance management (supervisors) and hourly team members Assisting in the development and management of the plant maintenance budget Promoting and implementing maintenance best practices to increase equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs Additional Responsibilities: Assisting the Manager Maintenance II in the development, implementation, and management of the annual capital budget Acting as project manager on capital and maintenance expenditure projects to ensure proper project scope development, equipment specifications, equipment selection, costing, planning, scheduling, installation, start-up, and commissioning All efforts will support the plant’s direction of moving from a reactive, interval-based maintenance organization to a proactive, condition-based maintenance organization with world-class maintenance performance.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work different shifts depending on operational needs.
  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a technical discipline, or equivalent significant work experience.
  • 5+ years’ work experience directing and managing; must demonstrate proven people and leadership skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of CMMS, including SAP, Plantview, Workday, and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
