Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM) is seeking a Manager, Maintenance & Engineering to join our operations team in Carlisle, PA. The Manager of Maintenance & Engineering is responsible for assuring that the facility and production equipment are properly maintained and designed to safely perform specified tasks in a cost-effective manner. This includes the management and coordination of all Maintenance and Engineering activities, as well as the oversight and development of all Maintenance and Engineering Personnel. This critical role will lead the development of people and creation of processes to achieve key performance objectives. In this role, you will be responsible for the safety performance of your team and adherence to CCM safety programs. You will develop a strong team environment with clear and effective communications to build a customer-focused department. Supervising, coaching, and developing maintenance and engineering team members will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will set clear standards, ensuring team members have the tools and training to achieve these standards, and hold team members accountable to these standards. You will serve as a key interface with a variety of personnel including Production, Engineering, Shipping, Quality Services, EHS, etc. Your duties will include short and long-term planning and development to meet objectives, developing and deploying a preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and prevent equipment failures, and ensuring critical spares are available as needed. You will lead the planning and scheduling processes and work order management while controlling and monitoring the maintenance budget and costs. Continuous improvement will be a focus, driving reliability-centered maintenance in partnership with the reliability engineering group to maximize uptime. You will have ultimate ownership of the Maintenance SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) and VCC (Visual Control Center) boards, utilizing COS (Continuous Operating System) problem-solving tools/methodologies to solve problems. Participation in daily boardwalk and VCC processes, as well as the sustainment of continuous improvement initiatives, countermeasures, and kaizen events, will be expected. You will work with Campus/Central Engineering for support and execution of repairs/projects, and identify, plan, justify, and execute capital projects. Additionally, you will manage plant utilities and participate in energy curtailment programs, review and manage FM Global recommendations for Fire and Loss Protection, and plan and manage the annual maintenance shutdown and holiday work. Lastly, you will participate in and support plant sustainability initiatives.
