About The Position

SMC³ is seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial individual to manage and grow our LTL online education and certification program. This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to shape the future of LTL education, drive innovation, and build a best-in-class learning experience. You’ll work closely with industry and education services leadership (IES), collaborate with numerous teams, and have the opportunity to own and elevate the program.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in LTL, with strong working knowledge of LTL operations with pricing and classification knowledge a plus.
• Proven self-starter with a track record of taking initiative and driving results.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills for a team-driven environment.
• Demonstrated passion for leveraging AI and emerging technologies.
• Eager to work with SMC³’s internal AI team to develop and deploy AI-powered education tools, including an AI Assistant.
• Visionary mindset with the ability to translate industry trends and technological advancements into actionable program improvements.
• Comfortable with technology and willing to learn online education platforms (TalentLMS).
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or related field preferred.
• Willingness to travel and participate in industry events (e.g., onstage roles, webinars).

Nice To Haves

• Experience in sales, business development, or program management in LTL or supply chain management a plus.

Responsibilities

• Program Ownership: Take full responsibility as a change agent for the LTL online education and digital learning program, ensuring content is current, relevant, and aligned with present and future industry needs. The program must align with student learning preferences.
• Content Innovation: Lead the transformation of online coursework by integrating next-generation AI technologies to deliver highly customizable learning experiences tailored to each student’s LTL expertise and individual goals.
• Sales & Outreach: Proactively drive program growth through sales outreach, customer presentations, and lead generation while collaborating with the SMC³ national sales team. Build relationships with carriers, 3PLs, and shippers with heavy emphasis on growing the enterprise license program.
• Technical Support: Administration of the program’s learning management system (TalentLMS) and provide student technical support.
• Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (AI, marketing, sales, customer support, and HR) to deliver a seamless student experience and support SMC³’s mission.
• Continuous Improvement: Regularly evaluate program performance, proactively seek feedback, and implement improvements. Stay ahead of industry trends and best practices for delivering a quality learning experience.
• Competitor Analysis: Monitor and evaluate competing programs.
• University Relations: Work in partnership with IES leadership to share knowledge, foster student consumption of online coursework and certification, and deploy SMC³ solutions in select university settings. Assist with meaningful student engagement while building brand awareness.
• Association Relations: Work in partnership with IES leadership to share knowledge and foster industry consumption of online coursework and certification among associations strategic to SMC³. Assist with meaningful member engagement while building brand awareness.
• Speaker & Content Management: Assist with managing and recruiting knowledge experts, as well as developing content to support SMC³ conferences, webinars, and best practice discussions.
