About The Position

In this key role, you will oversee feed and live haul operations, managing drivers responsible for rendering, feed delivery, and live animal transportation. You will coordinate all movements of animals and feed between local destinations, ensuring smooth and efficient logistics. You will also manage daily activities at the sorting station, including feed delivery scheduling and maintaining an up-to-date master list of all vehicles and their locations. Ensuring strict compliance with Department of Transportation regulations, environmental standards, safety protocols, and biosecurity measures is a critical aspect of this position.

Requirements

  • Education: Associate's degree or equivalent specialized knowledge in a related field, typically acquired through two years of college.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a related role with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient with standard computer applications.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Supervisory Experience: Proven ability to manage and lead teams effectively.
  • Travel: Willingness to undertake 6 or more domestic trips annually.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain daily feed and live haul schedules.
  • Maintain a comprehensive master log tracking animal locations and vehicle movements.
  • Oversee sorting station operations and coordinate feed delivery schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations, environmental policies, safety guidelines, and biosecurity protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of accidents, safety points, payroll, and driver logs.
  • Conduct regular driver safety meetings and new Team Member orientations.
  • Manage and supervise one or more groups of Team Members performing related activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational excellence.
