About The Position

We’re looking for a Manager, Licensing & Commissions to lead a high-impact team responsible for accurate agent licensing, and commission processing across all product lines and distribution channels. This role blends leadership, operational excellence, and system expertise, partnering closely with Product, Actuarial, Accounting, and Technology teams to ensure our processes are compliant, efficient, and continuously improving.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field, plus insurance industry experience.
  • Experience leading teams while consistently prioritizing exceptional customer service.
  • Knowledge of insurance operations with emphasis on agent licensing and commissions.
  • Experience supporting system requirements, testing, and process improvements (Agile familiarity a plus).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word, with exposure to tools such as Tableau, NIPR Producer Database, Vertafore PLM, or similar systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Licensing & Commissions team, setting clear expectations and coaching for performance.
  • Oversee accurate and timely commission payments and agent licensing in compliance with state regulations.
  • Serve as the business lead for system enhancements, testing, and implementation impacting agent pay and licensing.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support new products, regulatory changes, and system improvements.
  • Manage intermediary onboarding, contract changes, renewals, and terminations.
  • Monitor budgets, reporting, and controls to ensure operational and financial integrity.
  • Communicate proactively and clearly to keep teams aligned, informed, and motivated.
