About The Position

Oversee and support lending processes, ensuring efficient loan production and customer satisfaction, while supporting team with training and maintaining compliance with regulations to mitigate risk. This position will be critical with managing current and future lending growth into new markets and overall expansion of lending footprint. Provide leadership in establishing and maintaining an environment of continuous process improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with a bachelor's degree or 9 years without a bachelor's degree
  • Experience in lending or financial services
  • Strong understanding of lending regulations and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and make data driven decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on relationship building
  • Experienced in developing and implementing lending policies and procedures
  • Proficiency in lending software and financial analysis tools (Meridian Link and Encompass a plus)
  • Deep expertise in credit analysis, underwriting, and risk management
  • Proficient in data analysis software such as Excel or similar tools

Responsibilities

  • Analyze lending trends and market data to identify new opportunities for growth and expansion; support M&A as needed
  • Support system, process and regulatory needs of business as it continues to grow and expand
  • Bring forward data and trends that can be leveraged to make decisions around market growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to streamline operations and enhance customer experience
  • Investigate and recommend technologies that can be implemented to improve workflow, efficiency and speed to fund
  • Lead cross functional efforts to increase automation for a design digitally with employee support as needed
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders, investment agencies, and regulatory bodies
  • Work with settlement service providers, vendors, key partners (auto dealers, realtors, professionals) to understand industry trends, partner needs & opportunities; using this information and data to drive recommendations for efficiencies, processes and best practices
  • Maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, GSE and corresponding FI’s to help understand regulatory environment and leverage that data and information to mitigate risk and keep stakeholders informed of changes.
  • Lead and Manage a floating lending support team
  • Provides ongoing training, coaching and mentoring to staff on a regular basis
  • Track team performance on an individual level
  • Support Performance Management Process by conducting 1:1 reviews with staff, review/create Performance and Improvement plans, complete performance appraisals and participate in Merit and EIP recommendations
  • Utilize rewards and recognition system consistently and appropriately
  • Provide lending training and compliance expertise (specific to lending) across lending and loan servicing departments
  • Support Mortgage Originations Development program
  • Technical training of teams (ongoing and onboarding) for real estate, loan servicing, consumer and indirect lending
  • Keep up to date with compliance (specific to lending) and act as subject matter expert for lending and loan servicing managers
