About The Position

The Manager, Leadership & Organizational Development leads the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of leadership and organizational development initiatives that advance Jackson Health System's strategic priorities, workforce effectiveness, and culture of high reliability and service excellence. This role manages leadership and organizational development programs for frontline, emerging, and mid-level leaders; supports succession readiness; and applies organizational development and change management practices to strengthen leadership capability, engagement, and performance outcomes. The Manager partners with operational, clinical, and administrative leaders to ensure development solutions align with enterprise priorities. This position provides program leadership, consultation, and coaching while maintaining accountability for team supervision, program execution, and operational excellence. Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in leadership and organizational development or learning program delivery is required.
  • Demonstrated experience applying organizational development, instructional design, and change management principles is also required.
  • Experience supervising staff or leading project teams is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Education, Business, or related field is required.
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions.
  • Ability to exercise sound and independent judgment Knowledge and skill in use of job appropriate technology and software applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in complex or healthcare organizations is preferred, along with experience providing internal consulting or leadership advisory support.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • Additional certifications in organizational development, change management, or talent development (e.g., ATD, Prosci, HPI) are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver leadership and organizational development programs aligned with enterprise strategy and workforce needs.
  • Lead initiatives supporting frontline, emerging, and mid-level leaders, including onboarding and transition support for new leaders.
  • Apply organizational development and change management practices to strengthen leadership effectiveness, engagement, culture, and performance.
  • Provide coaching and consultation to leaders and teams to address leadership and organizational challenges.
  • Support succession readiness and leadership capability development through integrated development solutions.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee day-to-day execution of leadership and organizational development programs to ensure quality and timely delivery.
  • Manage program budgets and resources with fiscal accountability.
  • Manage vendor and partner relationships supporting development initiatives.
  • Support employee and physician engagement survey processes and leader action planning.
  • Conduct research and prepare reports and presentations to support leadership decision-making.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop assigned staff to achieve performance and development goals.
  • Ensure staff participation in required education and professional development.
  • Support employee relations activities in collaboration with HR partners.
  • Partner with stakeholders across clinical, operational, and administrative areas to align leadership and organizational development with organizational priorities.
  • Support communication and learning initiatives across departments and programs.

  • Perform other duties and strategic projects as assigned.
