The Manager IT Service East Americas is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and overseeing the enforcement of IT operational policies and the East Coast ITSM Team. This role serves as a point of contact for escalations within the team and customer concerns. Effective interpersonal and strong technical skills are key to success in this position. The vision is for this individual to support the Global Director, IT Service by effectively leading a team of technical professionals and assisting with escalations. This position reports to the Global Director, IT Service and is part of the Information Technology, ITSM Team located in Malborough, MA and will be an on-site role.

Requirements

  • Experience working in progressive technology and leadership positions.
  • Proven management and leadership skill; building and maintaining an engaged and motivated team.

  • Able to chart the course - able to balance short term and long term objectives in line with the company's long term strategy and immediate priorities.
  • Able to relay complex information in simple terms to people at varying levels of competence.

Nice To Haves

  • Collecting, interpreting, and/or analyzing complex data and information
  • Extensive Knowledge and experience with IT service management frameworks like ITIL including understanding the service lifecycle and core processes such as incident, change, and problem management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to all IT activities.
  • Oversee technical projects in alignment with organizational and platform goals.
  • Work closely with leaders across Sciex and Danaher to ensure IT services support critical business functions.
  • Manage the deployment, development, monitoring, maintenance, upgrading and support of organizational IT systems. This will include operating systems, servers, PCs, software apps, telephones and peripherals.
  • Develop standard operating procedures allied to best practice, and ensuring written protocols and guidelines are provided for IT staff and all end-users.
  • Keep up to date with the most recent technologies and advising on what new technological solutions and their implementation will meet business and systems requirements.
  • Develop the organization's IT vision and translating it into actionable goals.
