About The Position

The Asset Protection (AP) Hub is a 24/7 monitoring and investigative center supporting Walmart’s Global Security Operations Center (GSOC). The Manager, Asset Protection Hub – Investigations plays a critical role in identifying, investigating, and disrupting internal and external threats impacting Walmart U.S. operations. This role leads complex investigations with a strong emphasis on Supply Chain–related incidents, including theft, fraud, diversion, and organized retail crime (ORC) impacting distribution, transportation, and fulfillment operations. The ideal candidate brings hands on investigative experience across Supply Chain environments and demonstrates the ability to translate data, intelligence, and real time activity into actionable outcomes. This role is based at the Home Office campus in Northwest Arkansas and may require nights and weekends to support operational needs. Must be willing to work nights and weekends to fulfill responsibilities and duties.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated investigative experience within Supply Chain environments, including distribution centers, transportation, fulfillment, or logistics operations.
  • Proven background in fraud prevention, risk mitigation, and complex investigations involving internal and external subjects.
  • Strong understanding of Supply Chain networks, end‑to‑end processes, and operational dependencies.
  • Skilled investigator with experience across omnichannel, cash, Supply Chain, and ORC investigations.
  • Proficiency in using Walmart fraud detection, investigative, and research tools to support case development.
  • Highly proficient in reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting CCTV and other investigative evidence.
  • Deep knowledge of Walmart operations and familiarity with emergency operations and response protocols.
  • Ability to build strong, trusted partnerships with field leadership, Supply Chain partners, law enforcement, and business stakeholders.
  • Comfortable preparing executive‑ready materials and briefing leadership on sensitive or high‑impact investigations.
  • Highly organized, disciplined, and capable of managing multiple complex investigations and priorities simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field and 1 year’s experience in research, forensic science, or related area OR 3 years’ experience in research, forensic science, or related area

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support complex Supply Chain investigations, including cargo theft, fraud, diversion, and ORC activity impacting distribution centers, transportation networks, fulfillment operations, and upstream/downstream processes.
  • Conduct in‑depth internal and external investigations across omnichannel environments, with a focus on identifying patterns, trends, and organized networks.
  • Apply advanced data analysis techniques to uncover actionable intelligence that supports proactive threat detection and long‑term investigative strategies.
  • Monitor real‑time activity to identify potential safety risks, security threats, and shrink‑related losses requiring investigative response.
  • Provide critical investigative support to AP GSOC operations during incident response, emergency activations, and high‑risk events.
  • Partner closely with Supply Chain leadership, field AP teams, law enforcement, and cross‑functional stakeholders to drive effective case outcomes.
  • Prepare and present investigative findings, intelligence summaries, and strategic recommendations to senior and executive leadership.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying systemic risks, control gaps, and opportunities to mitigate loss across the Supply Chain and retail ecosystem.
