About The Position

The Asset Protection Investigations & Training Analyst is responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and delivering data‑driven recommendations that support the Asset Protection team’s organizational goals. This role acts as a liaison between SSC stakeholders and field teams to ensure solutions meet business needs and drive operational efficiency. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: Serve as the primary contact for Asset Protection business owners in the internal investigations/training space. Perform internal case reviews, including major cases, to ensure the proper documentation has been submitted with all cases, including narratives, statements, video, etc. and the cases meet Family Dollar submission and collection guidelines. Provide timely feedback with insights and recommendations to AP business partners on internal investigations exceptions that need correction. (VI Navex compliance reports, Audit Deficiencies) Build and maintain reports, dashboards, analytics, and visualizations using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools around KPIs related to internal case productivity and trends. Collect, interpret, and analyze internal case data to support business decisions. Identify trends, root causes, and actionable insights that guide strategic decisions relating to internal shrink loss Analyze current processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation or optimization. Prepare recurring monthly reporting and ad hoc analysis for distribution to departmental, field, and executive management. Present findings to leadership in a clear, actionable format. Conduct organizational and role‑based training needs assessments to assist in developing and maintaining training programs and SOPs focused on the internal investigations process, i.e., proper case completion, narrative guides, attaching video, SOPs, etc. Support video documentation requests as needed. Assist the Manager Investigative Programs, Physical Security Manager, Sr Business Analyst and AP Cash Analyst in completing special projects, process improvements, and strategic initiatives. Function as a strategic partner to HR, Operations, and field Leadership teams. Collaborate with IT, project managers, and cross-functional teams and external solutions partners for case management systems and AP training. Severe as subject matter expert and business liaison for restitution management with 3rd party collection provider and budget collection Identify process improvements - Support change management activities and user adoption.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years minimum of experience as Business Analyst or similar role
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple work streams simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail required.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point, Power BI, databases, and other software applications

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Asset Protection/Training
  • Experience with dashboarding tools such as Power BI
  • Advanced data analytics background
