Inside the Role The Manager-Inventory Audit provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of the Wholesale Audit team to proactively minimize Daimler Truck Financial Services’ risk exposure across U.S. and Canadian wholesale portfolios. This role ensures alignment of audit methodologies across both markets, oversees third‑party vendor performance, and partners closely with Dealer Credit to support risk mitigation Posting Information We provide a scheduled posting end date to assist our candidates with their application planning. We Take Care of Our Team • Typically requires a Bachelors Degree • Typically requires 5-7 years of relevant experience or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree • Decision maker for daily activities that are guided by policy, procedures, and business plans with oversight from manager • Demonstrates understanding and application of procedures and concepts related to job field as well as basic knowledge of other related work areas • Coordinates the resources of team and set daily priorities to meet operational objectives • Primarily supervises the work of entry and intermediate level professional individual contributors or large numbers of shop floor employees in operations, manufacturing, and/or logistics • Interprets and administers policies, processes, and procedures • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to use tact and diplomacy to exchange information, handle sensitive issues, and translate, simplify, and clarify information for employees • Responsible for staffing decisions such as hiring, firing, rewarding, training, and developing employees What you Drive at DTFS Audit Management, Compliance & Process Enhancement • Ensure wholesale audit activities comply with audit policies and global rules. • Oversee audit scheduling, balancing Dealer Credit requirements, vendor capacity, risk, cost, and internal resources. • Review and close audits in a timely manner; escalate findings as required. • Recommend corrective actions and follow‑up procedures for high‑risk or unsatisfactory audits. • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including system enhancements and digital innovation. Team Leadership & Development • Manage, coach, and develop a team of 1–5 employees. • Lead training and development related to Audit Policies and Global Rules to maintain high technical proficiency. Dealer Credit Partnership & Risk Management • Collaborate with Dealer Credit to align priorities and adjust audit schedules based on risk or business needs. • Balance business priorities with financial risk and provide rationale for scheduling decisions. Financial Control & Risk Monitoring • Monitor all audit‑related expenses, including internal travel and vendor fees. • Ensure expenditures align with business needs and budget expectations. Vendor Management & SLA Oversight • Oversee third‑party vendors conducting wholesale stock audits in the U.S. and Canada. • Conduct monthly SLA reviews, address non‑compliance, and secure appropriate credits or penalties. • Provide timely updates to leadership following vendor review meetings. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a proactive approach. Experience in credit, collections, customer service, wholesale, or audit roles. Exceptional Candidate Might Have Dealer Credit or Wholesale Finance experience. Familiarity with Canadian business practices. Demonstrated success leading process improvements or digital transformation initiatives. Experience managing third‑party vendors and enforcing SLAs. A track record of balancing risk, operational efficiency, and customer/dealer relationships. Strong leadership capabilities, including coaching, performance management, and team development.
