About The Position

Under general direction, this position supports the implementation of the institutional effectiveness assessment cycle activities. Provides technical and professional guidance, consultation, and support to departments regarding assessment, as appropriate. Serves as a point of contact for the College’s Accountability Management System (AMS) and helps to monitor documentation and evaluate quality. Conducts outreach to academic programs, administrative, and support units to provide support in defining outcomes, assessing these outcomes, and using the results to guide future planning, decision making, and continuous improvement. Helps to create, store, and ensure the accuracy of relevant documentation to meet accreditation requirements. Coordinates and facilitates meetings, office functions, and specialized events as appropriate. Supports other related activities, such as program review and accreditation as needed. Performs related work as directed. This position focuses on reporting, solutions to streamline and align existing systems, specialized record keeping, compliance assurance, and associated quality assurance to produce accurate, reliable, and current planning and assessment data for internal and external constituents, and a wide range of associated administrative, assessment, and planning activities in conjunction with other departmental areas and district offices in accordance with the College’s strategic plan and college-wide initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelors' Degree An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.
  • Four to six years of experience in higher education or related field, preferably in assessment, technical support, customer service, consultation, software training, quality assurance, reporting and analysis, and excellent research skills to locate, interpret, and synthesize a high volume of data.
  • Advanced skills in software applications including Microsoft Office 365; proficiency in data visualization software and concepts, preferably Power BI and Microsoft Excel; exceptional written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to lead project teams; integrity and a commitment to the highest standards to manage confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
  • Full knowledge of accreditation requirements, deadlines, and documentation processes as related to institutional effectiveness.
  • Ability to work with faculty, staff and administrators

  • Ability to analyze critical documents and make decisions
  • Ability to create and maintain website information

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical and professional guidance, consultation, and support to departments regarding assessment, as appropriate.
  • Serves as a point of contact for the College’s Accountability Management System (AMS) and helps to monitor documentation and evaluate quality.
  • Conducts outreach to academic programs, administrative, and support units in defining outcomes, assessing these outcomes, and using the results to guide future planning, decision making, and continuous improvement.
  • Provides training, and presentations, and serves as a system administrator for the accountability management system; facilitates timely completion of institutional effectiveness plans for all college units.
  • Provides reporting, solutions to streamline and align existing systems, specialized record keeping, compliance assurance, and associated quality assurance to produce accurate, reliable, and current planning and assessment data for internal and external constituents, and a wide range of associated administrative, assessment, and planning activities in conjunction with other departmental areas and district offices in accordance with the college’s strategic plan and college-wide initiatives.
  • Maintains assessment records, organizes events and meetings, and performs careful review of relevant procedures as needed.
  • Helps to create, store, and ensure the accuracy of relevant accreditation documentation submitted from college leadership and other constituents.
  • Provides and/or oversees support activities for the unit such as answering telephones, assisting and resolving problems, and inquiries of visitors, review and control of incoming and outgoing correspondence, and follow-up on operational commitments.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
