Role Summary The Program Management - Manager is responsible for overall management of the Industrial program management team, execution of customer development projects and overseeing all commercial and program related tasks within the team’s projects. He/she leads the team in building the design and implementation of business strategies, maintains profitable business relationships and leads the defined key customer and assigned projects.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in the field of Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience: 5+ years relevant experience in project management capacity in a manufacturing or similar industry
  • Required Skills: Some technical knowledge of M+H products as well as customer business
  • Customer orientation, organization and coordination skills, self-initiative and ability to lead a team under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Conflict management, communication skills
  • Relevant IT tools (MS Office, SAP, Microsoft Project)
  • Approx. 30% travel

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and support to the Program Management team and support to the customers in regards to all technical issues and ensure high quality customer service (follow-up of orders, customer visits, cost/revenue analysis in cooperation with the project controlling, prepare and conducting of customer presentations
  • Ensure ID PM team is fully staffed and provide ongoing feedback and development
  • Support the customer projects from a technical as well as commercial perspective from the initial phase until delivery in regard to budget, deadlines etc.
  • Plan and coordinate all project related activities in accordance with the M+H development process xSEP considering the relevant quality specifications
  • Establish and drive Industry specific PM KPIs, best practices and reportings
  • Analyze project risks with regard to profitability, timing, technical and environmental requirements
  • Lead in planning project resources and budget and ensure compliance with project budget and time plan
  • Define the Quality Gates and detail time planning
  • Shape program management tools to be more effective for the PM team represent the industrial business unit within the program management community, locally and globally.
  • Provide escalation and necessary decisions in steering committees
  • Report the Quality Gates in local steering committee according to plans
  • Review and assist Project Manager (if needed) in presenting projects to customers
  • Review the project status regularly with assigned project manager, determine deviations according to the quality gates and define corrective actions
  • Continuously coordinate and follow up the open tasks with the project management team
  • Lead and develop a new program management team in accordance with the Filter Values and Leadership Competencies
