Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in accounting and 5 plus years of relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical Skills – A solid understanding of US income tax compliance (federal, state, local reporting for domestic and foreign entities) for a global corporation is required.
  • Knowledge of income tax calculations and methods.
  • Leverage experience; stay current through reading, training and development opportunities.
  • Experienced with tax compliance software (e.g., OneSource), financial systems (e.g., OneStream), analytic and data management tools and software.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and/or review of US federal, state and local income tax filings for a global corporation, including forms 5471 review. Our filings are co-sourced with an external public accounting firm.
  • Data collection and analysis working with both domestic and foreign business units in order to prepare the federal/state tax returns including the reporting of foreign information returns.
  • Preparation of timely income tax estimated and extension filings and payments and tracking of refund requests.
  • Monitor changing tax legislation. Anticipate future events and advise leadership of risks and opportunities.
  • Assist in integration of acquired companies in tax compliance processes and systems.
  • Support government audits and managing state notices and inquiries.
  • Manage Country by Country reporting and notifications, and Pillar 2 minimum tax.
  • Assist in the management of non-US income tax returns with external public accounting firm.
  • Review of non-income tax returns such as Oregon CAT, Ohio CAT and insurance excise returns.
  • Assist in orienting and accounting for newly acquired legal entities as Teledyne grows.
  • Assist with and/or lead special projects; monitor evolving legislation, calculation and disclosure requirements.
  • Some overtime is required during peak periods.
  • Work is performed on-site Monday – Friday in our Thousand Oaks corporate office.
