As an Inbound Sales Development Manager at Paylocity, you will lead a team of Inbound Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) responsible for qualifying inbound leads and generating new business opportunities. You will develop and implement sales strategies, optimize inbound prospecting efforts, and ensure your team meets and exceeds performance metrics. This role requires a strong leader who can coach and mentor a high-performing team while collaborating with marketing and sales leadership to drive revenue growth.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in sales development, inside sales, or a similar role, preferably in SaaS or B2B technology.
  • 1+ years of leadership experience managing SDRs, inside sales teams, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of inbound lead generation, sales processes, and pipeline management.
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales engagement tools (Salesforce, SalesLoft, HubSpot, etc.).
  • Excellent coaching, training, and motivational leadership skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with a track record of improving conversion rates and sales efficiency.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, and develop a team of Inbound SDRs to effectively manage and qualify inbound leads.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a high-energy, results-driven team culture.
  • Oversee the inbound sales development process to ensure timely lead follow-up and qualification.
  • Collaborate with marketing to optimize lead flow and conversion rates.
  • Implement best practices for lead scoring, prospecting, and engagement.
  • Develop and refine inbound SDR strategies to increase pipeline generation.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, response times, and pipeline contribution.
  • Utilize CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) to track and report on team performance.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to align on messaging and campaign effectiveness.
  • Provide regular insights on market trends, lead quality, and customer feedback.
  • Partner with sales leadership to ensure a seamless handoff of qualified leads to account executives.
