The Manager In Training’s primary responsibility includes providing an exceptional customer experience while shadowing/assisting the General Manager’s day-to-day operation of the store. The Manager In Training will learn the operations of the shop and gain experience for growth into a General Manager role. The Manager In Training works with all team members in achieving the repair facilities' KPIs.

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary Education or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of leadership experience in a collision repair environment or similar role
  • Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to multitask and function well in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of Google platform and Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to multitask and effectively manage a fast paced environment
  • Ability to motivate others utilizing effective coaching tools and management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required

Responsibilities

  • Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan
  • Prepare and manage the annual and monthly operating budget of the collision center
  • Forecast, target and track monthly sales, profit and expenses
  • Oversee hiring, training, corrective action and termination
  • Monitor and maintain all A/P and A/R relating to the Collision Center.
  • Maintain a clean and organized repair facility at all times
  • Monitor all maintenance required for all shop equipment, including the paint booth
  • Provide training for all staff as necessary
  • Ensure all staff wear proper safety gear and adhere to dress code
  • Open and close the facility daily as per established procedures
  • Conduct or coordinate daily production meetings/walks to oversee work in progress and delivery dates
  • Manage all estimates and store capacity
  • Shadow the General Manager and assist in overseeing all repair facility personnel.
  • Facilitate monthly Health & Safety and staff meetings.
  • Attend monthly managers meetings.
  • Maintain the The Boyd Group KPI’s (Sales/ GP/ EBITA /BHPD/ NPS/ WOW Scores)
