Overview: NBCUniversal's Global Immigration team, based in London, New York, and Los Angeles, manages full lifecycle immigration requirements for NBCUniversal worldwide by addressing dynamic stakeholder needs and implementing best practices for optimal results. In this role, you will be a key member of the team, responsible for, but not limited to: Overseeing foundational immigration compliance requirements to ensure processes and records meet jurisdictional standards Providing strategic immigration advice to support our businesses, productions, and events

Requirements

  • 5 years of business immigration experience, including 2+ years managing immigration compliance requirements
  • Fluent Spanish language skills required
  • Defined approach to immigration case management
  • Ability to explain complex legal principles simply
  • Keen attention to detail and deadlines
  • Proactive approach and capacity to act with initiative

Responsibilities

  • Manage I-9 inquiries and provide guidance to ensure compliant outcomes
  • Review immigration and civil documentation for compliance purposes
  • Maintain immigration compliance records and conduct regular audits
  • Draft, review, and file visa applications with consulates
  • Evaluate employee and candidate profiles to provide comprehensive assessments to stakeholders on visa options, sponsorship lifecycle requirements, and projected costs and timelines
  • Instruct outside counsel as appropriate and engage in high-touch case management
  • Maintain accurate records, and generate regular compliance and operational reports
  • Proactively identify and share immigration laws, policy shifts, and trends with the broader team
