HVAC Service Manager HVAC SERVICE MANAGER POSITION PURPOSE: Reporting to the Director of HVAC Service Operations, this role is responsible for leading and developing our Service Technicians, while driving operational excellence in service delivery. Service Managers ensure customer satisfaction, revenue and gross margin optimization, and consistent application of SOPs across all service work. This role is critical to building best-in-class HVAC service teams, holding technicians accountable for KPIs, and reinforcing a culture of urgency, care, and ownership. HVAC SERVICE MANAGER PAY: Base salary of $70,000, with a targeted performance bonus. High-performing Service Managers can earn $120,000+ in total annual compensation based on results. HVAC SERVICE MANAGER SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Service Technician Oversight & Support: · Lead, coach, and hold Service Technicians accountable for performance and adherence to company standards. · Monitor unsold revenue opportunities on service tickets; coaching technicians to maximize value capture, moving the technicians through the technician advancement program. · Drive service KPIs, including closing rate, effective rate, average ticket size, gross margin and customer satisfaction. · Review all technician invoices for accuracy including tasks performed, proper payroll, and inventory. · Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and team meetings. · Create a culture of continued education for technicians, with a focus on technical training and customer service excellence. Customer Satisfaction: · Ensure “right the first time” service delivery, reviewing jobs in Service Titan for quality and accuracy. · Support customer escalations, ensuring both timely resolution and excellent outcomes. · Foster a culture of urgency, deep customer care, and accountability across service teams. Partnerships: · Collaborate with the Service Director to implement SOPs, training, and process improvements. · Work directly with the Install Team, and their leadership, to fulfill our no frustration guarantee. Miscellaneous/Other: · Oversee operational readiness, including vehicle condition, equipment, and compliance with safety protocols. · Other duties as assigned.
