Position Information Responsibilities: Manage and administer human resources programs for Texas A&M AgriLife On-campus units, to include recruitment, employment, compensation, classification, employee relations, and organizational development. Serve as Workday HR Partner Security Role for this customer group. Supervise HR Specialist II who serves as HR unit contact for Administrative Services and Dean’s Office Staff customer group, including oversight of hiring, onboarding, compensation, all related Workday processes, unemployment claims, reporting, creating/updating forms and Laserfiche processes, maintenance of web information/resources and other duties performed by the HR Specialist II. Prepare and complete internal and external salary surveys/studies. Ensure compliance and provide guidance, interpretation and consultation to department heads, employees and managers on HR activities, best practices, compliance issues, state and federal laws, System regulations and rules, Agency policies, and other regulations related to human resources management. Resolve and troubleshoot complex HR issues including employee relations situations and Workday System issues. Review organizational methods and effectiveness of program activities, prepare correspondence and write ad hoc reports. Develop and provide training as needed to employees, managers or other HR staff. Maintain human resources automated systems including Workday and Laserfiche personnel/payroll and recruiting files. Develop, revise, and implement human resources policies, procedures, and forms. Conduct audits of human resources activities to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Serve as liaison to Faculty Affairs and TAMU as part of overall responsibility for knowledge and application of university rules and procedures for employees in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Collaborate with international services, faculty affairs, student employment office, graduate and professional school, SRS, payroll and budgets on complex questions and research Serve on various Workday committees including Staffing Working Group, Recruiting Working Group, and other related task force groups. Develop and maintain professional HR contacts and peers, maintain certifications as needed. Assist other areas of HR specialties including benefits, payroll, leave, awards, training. Performs other duties as assigned.
