About The Position

The Hometown Logistics Manager is responsible for Distribution, Merchandising, Vending, and Sales planning, including short, mid, and long-term strategic plans. They will provide guidance, strategic vision and support through deep analysis and understanding of field operations. They will leverage standard process, time with people, and utilizing technologies to enable effective and efficient execution in the field through the planning process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one year of work experience required, or a minimum of five years of progressive job experience including people, project, or account management with leadership and influencing skills required.
  • Experience in area of Supply Chain Operations preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma and Project Management experience. Green Belt preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, LEO, VendSmart, GreenMile, Forms.com, Merlin, and Microsoft Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills in the areas of SAP, Excel, Access preferred.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication/ presentation skills with timely follow-up.
  • Valid Driver's License, current vehicle liability insurance, driving record within policy guidelines.
  • 20% travel required within Heartland territory.

Responsibilities

  • Function as the primary point of contact for all operations planning functions in the Hometown and should be considered a key business partner for the General Manager.
  • Communicates and influences internal stakeholders on optimal decision-making.
  • Extraction, modeling, and presentation of accurate information to influence daily operations through tracking measures of success and collaborating with Hometowns for solutions to improve results.
  • Responsible for the development of direct reports and successors, sharing subject matter expertise, and continually evaluating the effectiveness of the planning process providing solutions to improve performance in the field.
  • Collaborates cross functionally to develop a strategic planning approach to drive efficiencies, process improvements, and cost reductions using program/project management methodologies.
  • Provides leadership to ensure effective cross-functional approach to frontline initiatives.
