Summary The Manager – High & Heavy (HoT) will contribute to expanding the company's freight forwarding services by identifying business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of supply chain management, logistics and freight forwarding needed to further expand the company's market presence.

Requirements

  • Intermediate MS Excel, Power Point, Word and database management Required
  • General understanding of the Supply Chain Management and the logistics industry Required
  • Understanding of the full range of Freight Forwarding services, including movement scheduling, monitor and control services, cost optimization, and various industry specific requirements Required
  • Ability to establish business plan and proceed new business developments/projects Required
  • Must be proficient with PCs Required
  • H.S Diploma/G.E.D Required
  • 7 - 10 years of related experience in Supply Chain Management, Freight Forwarding, or Logistics Required
  • 1 - 3 years of supervisory experience Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • 8 - 13 years of related experience in Supply Chain Management, Freight Forwarding, or Logistics Preferred
  • 4 - 7 years of supervisory experience Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in identifying new business opportunities in freight forwarding, including air and ocean freight, drayage, and over-the-road trucking services
  • Support senior business development managers in meeting sales targets by actively engaging in client meetings, negotiations, and proposal writing
  • Monitor and track sales performance data, helping to prepare reports and insights for senior management
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients, ensuring regular communication and providing assistance with their logistics and transportation needs
  • Assist in onboarding new clients by understanding their requirements, providing solutions, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Support senior team members in resolving client issues and maintaining high customer satisfaction
  • Conduct research on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to assist in identifying potential business opportunities
  • Collaborate closely with Korean Headquarters to understand and execute the global business strategy at the local level
  • Provide regular updates and reports on market trends, customer needs, and business performance to ensure alignment with corporate objectives
  • Act as the liaison between the local branch and headquarters, facilitating smooth communication and strategy implementation
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and business development progress
  • Assist in preparing sales reports, forecasts, and performance summaries for senior management
  • Work closely with the operations and finance teams to ensure that services are delivered efficiently and that financial goals are met
  • Coordinate with operations to manage freight shipments, resolve logistical challenges, and meet client expectations
