About The Position

Position Summary: Provides the overall strategic and operational leadership for the ShandsCair Ground Transport Division. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Development and implementation of process improvements Quality management and improvement Staff development and retention Ground Transport infrastructure maintenance and improvement Staffing analysis and planning Identifying and recruiting qualified candidates Annual and post-orientation employee performance reviews Employee performance correction and discipline Maintaining and updating the Ground Paramedic and EMT orientation programs Providing excellent customer service to our internal and external customers Mitigating issues impacting Ground Transport operations Gathering and presenting business intelligence on program operations to program and hospital leadership Evaluating new vehicle monitoring technology for operational feasibility Liaising with partner agencies and companies to provide operational and administrative support Serve as clinical adviser for the program in conjunction with the Medical Director.

Requirements

  • Current certification as EMT-Paramedic in the State of Florida required.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS required.
  • ITLS or PHTLS preferred at time of hire and required within one year of employment.
  • CCEMT-P, UFCCP, or FP-C, and NRP preferred and required within one year of employment.
  • Demonstrated clinical skills in pre-hospital and critical care transport.
  • Associates degree required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred and must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated superior communication skills and leadership qualities.
  • Must be insurable by the hospital insurance carrier.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to function effectively in a high-stress environment.
  • Florida Paramedic
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

  • ITLS or PHTLS preferred at time of hire and required within one year of employment.
  • CCEMT-P, UFCCP, or FP-C, and NRP preferred and required within one year of employment.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred and must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
