About The Position

The Global Billing Manager is responsible for designing, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures for the company s billing cycle to maximize cash flow while maintaining and improving internal and external customer relations across the regions. In conjunction with other finance staff, the Global Billing Manager will oversee day-to-day operations on all issues related to billing cycle from project set up through project close out process, Accounts Receivables, and unbilled projects. Additionally, the Global Billing Manager will evaluate billing performance and provide analysis to project managers, finance department, and other operational management groups on required actions to improve billing velocity. This position is highly visible and requires a strong leader with the ability to prioritize, plan, and direct a global billing team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in accounting/finance or a related field desired
  • A minimum of seven years of progressive finance, analysis, and leadership experience required, with a minimum of three years of direct supervisory experience
  • Prior experience with Oracle or another project-based ERP system preferred
  • Experience with RevPro, and/or Blackline preferred
  • Experience in assessing and implementing process improvements utilizing continuous improvement or other tools to track measurable results
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Advanced skill level using Excel and proficient in all other Microsoft products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence others
  • Comfortable presenting information to all levels of the company
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; must be accurate and detail oriented
  • Strong focus on continuous improvement with a proven track record for improving process efficiencies and solving problems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Supervise regional billing team(s) and guide day-to-day operations
  • Review the setup of new projects and modifications to bookings
  • Provide quality control review of invoices for adherence to client requirements
  • Resolve complex billing issues
  • Develop and implement new processes and improvements to key billing functions
  • Provide collections support to credit and collections and project managers
  • Provide coaching, development, and leadership to direct reports, driving continuous improvement and the achievement of collections goals and organizational initiatives.
  • Assist with month-end close process by reviewing AR reporting to ensure project financials are correctly stated and executing AR Module Close
  • Provide billing reporting and analysis on key project metrics
  • Develop and maintain AR policies, training materials, and departmental standards, ensuring they are up to date, standardized, and effectively implemented.
  • Coordinate with senior finance staff to enhance opportunities for billing team professional development and training
  • Assist with extending electronic invoicing and routing system to entire company
  • Provide support as needed for annual audits and tax filings
  • Other duties as assigned
