Manage and review Engineering designs and construction plans for crushed leach pads, dams, levees and foundations company-wide and ensure optimization of projects. Serve as technical advisor on geotechnical infrastructure projects and as company resource for geotechnical information and analysis. Serve as a technical specialist and perform critical review of geotechnical aspects of crushed leach pads, tailings dams, water dams, levees and infrastructure foundation/civil design investigations and designs Stay abreast of the state of the practice in Geotechnical Engineering to fulfill this role Manage projects and serve as subject matter expert (SME) on large/complex site planning/construction, expansion or modifications Provide guidance to Managers and Engineers on applicable programs, practices, and regulations Interpret Geotechnical theory and practice and provide recommendations to Management to aid in decision making Act as a company resource and mentor in the practice of Geotechnical Engineering Proactively identify and champion new technologies and management programs that will optimize operational operations and improve safety Ensure optimization of on-going and proposed dams, crushed leach pads and plan foundation structures through technology transfer and benchmarking Contribute to strategic planning and budgeting efforts for designated Engineering areas Represent the site on company sponsored steering committees, task forces, or teams Perform other duties as requested
