About The Position

The Manager, General Engineering at Collins Aerospace is responsible for overseeing engineering activities related to the design, fabrication, modification, and testing of aerospace products. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field with 8 years of progressive experience in general stress analysis of aircraft structure components, or a Master's degree with 5 years of experience.
• 5 years of experience with static and fatigue analysis of aircraft nacelle structures.
• 5 years of experience with metallic and composite aircraft nacelle structural parts.
• 5 years of experience with structural repairs of nacelle structures.
• 5 years of experience with mechanical/aerospace FEA tools including Patran and Nastran.
• 1 year of experience in leading a technical team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities of engineering or technical personnel involved in designing, fabricating, modifying or testing of products.
• Monitor the cost, schedule and technical performance of sizable company programs or subsystems of major programs.
• Manage major responsibilities across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Set objectives and execute approach for achievement of operational results.
• Innovate, design develop and implement technologies, components, sub-systems, machines, tools and systems to ensure compliance to specifications, requirements and customer guarantees.
