Manager General Accounting-General Accounting-Corporate 42nd Street- Full-Time Days Supervises directly a Senior Accountant and indirectly a Staff Accountant Responsibilities Coordinates month-end closing of the General Ledger with Data Center and Finance Department Assists in the preparation of monthly and audited financial statements Interacts with various departments to answer questions and obtain information necessary for monthly General Ledger closings Review journal entries and account analyses for accuracy and compliance with established accounting policies and procedures Consults with Payroll, Human Resources, Purchasing and other department to solve accounting related problems Interacts with departments regarding Budget Comparison Reports questions Prepares Malpractice related account analyses Reviews year-end Hospital Audit Schedules Coordinates and prepares schedules for Hospital Employees’ Pension Plan Audit and assist in the filing of related 5500 IRS Form Assist in the preparation of Hospital 990 IRS Form Oversees the filing of quarterly/annual federal and state withholding tax forms Acts independently to address and resolve problems and issues that arise in areas under his/her responsibility Qualifications Bachelor?s degree in accounting. PC experience. Supervisory experience required. MS Office Suite (Advanced) , 530 - General Accounting-T - MSH, Mount Sinai Hospital
