  • Proven track record of effective leadership coordinating events with executive-level leaders.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on Public Relations, Communications, or Business, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in event planning and logistical coordination (experience with non-profit destination fundraising events preferred).
  • Functional knowledge of Salesforce (or similar CRM system) and digital events planning tools

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the key communication hub and tactical leader for organizational events, including presenting to and interfacing with top Seed Company leaders on a regular basis.
  • Lead the team responsible for logistics for SC organizational and internal events planned to support the organization’s mission and objectives, including transacting, organizing, recording, and tracking activities related to venue, lodging, food and beverage service, transportation, meeting spaces, and audio/visual components.
  • Administer contracts with service providers.
  • Effectively delegate assignments to other team members to ensure execution of world-class experiences.
  • Liaise with Seed Company leaders across group lines to ensure the development and accessibility of talent/speakers, materials, and program elements for assigned events.
  • Act as the primary driver for the development of all facets of assigned events.
  • Work with the Steering Committee, Chief Marketing & Communications Officer, Director, Gatherings, and Advisory team, to manage the preparation, invitation, coordination, and execution of contracts for artists and speakers as requested.
  • Create and monitor projections and budgets for Seed Company-related events, manage ongoing performance reporting on these budgets to the Steering Committee and the Director, Gatherings.
  • Work with Seed Company leaders to set cost guidelines that ensure healthy event ROI.
  • Serve as the Event Planner during assigned events to represent the organization to contractors and venue representatives as required.
  • Lead the internal SC events team as assigned by fostering a healthy team environment even in a stressful event context.
  • Lead the process of recruiting and hiring new team.
  • Support and collaborate on movement-level initiatives.
  • Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and task force groups as directed and maintain required level of knowledge pertaining to operating procedures, requirements, processes, and policies.
  • Lead and or participate in projects or task force groups that focus on issues having organization-wide impact.
  • Perform or assist with any assignments as required or directed.
