$230,000 - $370,000Hybrid

About The Position

At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next. We connect people around the globe with stories and interactive experiences by pairing exceptional content with world-class innovation. Our Games offering lets members instantly play a curated collection of fun, approachable games seamlessly included as part of their membership. This is an opportunity to help define our emerging Games offering and build something with real impact. We are seeking a highly independent strategic leader to lead the Games Strategic Initiatives function within the Games Growth Finance & Strategy (F&S) team. This function focuses on identifying, structuring, and driving the highest-priority cross-functional efforts for the games business. In this role, you will lead strategic projects that shape how we grow, invest, and partner across Netflix to build a durable, scaled games business. Executives and senior management depend heavily on this role to frame complex questions, develop data-driven insights, and drive alignment across stakeholders to inform critical decisions. In this role, you will operate with a high degree of autonomy as a strategic thought partner and cross-functional leader. You will scope and drive strategic initiatives end-to-end – from problem definition and analytical framing through to recommendations, alignment, and execution support. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, and embrace ambiguity. You should be an expert communicator who can distill complex topics into clear narratives and influence a broad spectrum of stakeholders across Games Studios, Product & Tech, F&S, Data Science & Engineering, and other partner teams. This position is based in our Los Angeles office, with the expectation to be in the office Tues-Thurs.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in a highly analytical and strategic role, ideally in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or a strategy & operations role at a leading media, gaming, or technology company.
  • Strong passion for games, Netflix IP, or the entertainment industry at large.
  • Demonstrated experience independently structuring and driving complex, cross-functional strategic projects from end-to-end.
  • Experience conducting both quantitative (including financial/operational modeling) and qualitative analyses that drive clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment across functions.
  • Proven ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced, always-changing environment; comfortable with ambiguity and adept at creating structure where none exists.
  • Highly intellectually curious, with the courage to challenge the status quo and the judgment to know when to push vs. when to align.
  • Exhibits the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics.
  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on coursework of a quantitative nature, preferably in Business, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Excellent proficiency with Excel / PowerPoint (and ideally their Google Suite counterparts).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with tools such as Tableau, SQL, data.ai/Sensor Tower, or AI/automation tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare quantitative analyses (model building, scenario testing, forecasting) to support portfolio performance tracking and strategy.
  • Develop strategies to scale the business globally.
  • Conduct market research and competitive trends analyses, and summarize them for a senior executive-level audience.
  • Shape the design of new performance metrics, support the evolution of existing ones, and maintain the broader valuation ecosystem as Netflix expands its games offering.
  • Spearhead format and adoption of automation and self-serving analytics tooling in partnership with our Data Science & Engineering team.
  • Regularly present reports on performance and progress in an easy-to-understand format to senior business leaders.
  • Collaborate directly with top leaders in the Games organization: identify underlying trends, translate high-level thoughts into actionable strategies with measurable goals, and assist in socializing these strategies and coordinating execution across a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Netflix Games is fast-growing with a flat organizational structure, which means that employees are often asked to perform tasks with a range of difficulties. You must be motivated, disciplined, and able to work effectively autonomously.

Benefits

  • Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits.
  • We also offer paid leave of absence programs.
  • Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
  • Full-time salaried employees are immediately entitled to flexible time off.
