About The Position

Collins Aerospace has an exciting opportunity in Avionics Finance for a Manager, FP&A in Sensors FP&A organization. This role is responsible for being the lead analyst for the Sensors Product Line portfolio. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work with cross functional teams. This position will interact with a variety of program managers and executive leadership within the Sensors portfolio for daily, monthly, and annual responsibilities. This position also interacts with a variety of leadership levels at the Avionics level. The preferred candidate will be available to work on-site in our Burnsville, MN facility, highly qualified remote candidates may be considered.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Excel proficiency, experience using PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and data modeling
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access certain necessary systems.

  • SAP and OneStream experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • In depth experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
  • Strong analytical skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial support to the Controller and management team of the Sensors portfolio, including Product Line P&L support and ad-hoc reporting for Sensors Product Lines
  • Build analytical models and make recommendations in the creation of financial forecasts for the business, including providing support on monthly forecast reviews, Annual Operating Plans, and long-range financial plans
  • Provide financial support to the organization, including matters related to financial closing processes, manufacturing support, and other areas of financial reporting and analysis, including CAPEX and RPO (Remaining Performance Obligation) reporting
  • Develop, implement, and understand finance tools and systems (SAP, OneStream)
  • Communicate risks, opportunities, and overall plans for achieving financial targets
  • Work closely with peers and other colleagues in locations around the world on a variety of financial matters
  • Develop controls for the organization’s financial activities to ensure they are conducted accurately, ethically, consistently and according to relevant policies and procedures
  • Implement processes and procedures to ensure compliance with RTX financial accounting policies and work with auditors in support of periodic financial reviews and other audits
  • Support special projects and process improvements
